यदक्षरं वेदविदो वदन्ति
विशन्ति यद्यतयो वीतरागा: |
यदिच्छन्तो ब्रह्मचर्यं चरन्ति
तत्ते पदं संग्रहेण प्रवक्ष्ये || 11||
yadakṣaraṃ vēdavidō vadanti viśanti yadyatayō vītarāgāḥ।
yadichChantō brahmacharyaṃ charanti tattē padaṃ saṅgrahēṇa pravakṣyē ॥ 11 ॥
वेदके जाननेवाले विद्वान् जिस सच्चिदानन्दघनरूप परमपदको अविनाशी कहते हैं, आसक्तिरहित यत्नशील संन्यासी महात्माजन जिसमें प्रवेश करते हैं और जिस परमपदको चाहनेवाले ब्रह्मचारी लोग ब्रह्मचर्यका आचरण करते हैं, उस परमपदको मैं तेरे लिये संक्षेपसे कहूँगा|
The Blessed Lord Spoke: O Arjuna, that which the scholars of the Vedas (those who study and are knowledgeable of the Vedas), who are self-controlled and passion-free. enter into, leading the life of celibacy and detachment from all things and being, this Supreme Being shall be made clear to you briefly.
सर्वद्वाराणि संयम्य मनो हृदि निरुध्य च |
मूर्ध्न्याधायात्मन: प्राणमास्थितो योगधारणाम् || 12||
sarvadvārāṇi saṃyamya manō hṛdi nirudhya cha ।
mūrdhnyādhāyātmanaḥ prāṇamāsthitō yōgadhāraṇām ॥ 12 ॥
.ओमित्येकाक्षरं ब्रह्म व्याहरन्मामनुस्मरन् |
य: प्रयाति त्यजन्देहं स याति परमां गतिम् || 13||
ōmityēkākṣaraṃ brahma vyāharanmāmanusmaran ।
yaḥ prayāti tyajandēhaṃ sa yāti paramāṃ gatim ॥ 13 ॥
सब इन्द्रियोंके द्वारोंको रोककर तथा मनको हृद्देशमें स्थिर करके, फिर उस जीते हुए मनके द्वारा प्राणको मस्तकमें स्थापित करके, परमात्मसम्बन्धी योगधारणामें स्थित होकर जो पुरुष ‘ॐ’ इस एक अक्षररूप ब्रह्मको उच्चारण करता हुआ और उसके अर्थस्वरूप मुझ निर्गुण ब्रह्मका चिन्तन करता हुआ शरीरको त्याग कर जाता है, वह पुरुष परमगतिको प्राप्त होता है|
When a Yogi has fully controlled all of his senses, fixes his mind in the heart, concentrates on nothing but God, concentrates all of his life’s breath in his head, fully establishes his being in the practice of Yoga.
Just as one is about to leave his body, he should chant “Om” as one of God’s many names, thinking of Me(the Lord) in the last few moments of his life. This is the key to the attainment of the Supreme state known as salvation.
अनन्यचेता: सततं यो मां स्मरति नित्यश: |
तस्याहं सुलभ: पार्थ नित्ययुक्तस्य योगिन: || 14||
ananyachētāḥ satataṃ yō māṃ smarati nityaśaḥ ।
tasyāhaṃ sulabhaḥ pārtha nityayuktasya yōginaḥ ॥ 14 ॥
हे अर्जुन ! जो पुरुष मुझमें अनन्य चित्त होकर सदा ही निरन्तर मुझ पुरुषोत्तमको स्मरण करता है, उस नित्य निरन्तर मुझमें युक्त हुए योगीके लिये मैं सुलभ – हूँ, अर्थात् उसे सहज ही प्राप्त हो जाता हूँ|
O Arjuna, the Yogi who is established in Me, with his mind constantly fixed on Me, continually remembering Me, can easily attain me.
मामुपेत्य पुनर्जन्म दु:खालयमशाश्वतम् |
नाप्नुवन्ति महात्मान: संसिद्धिं परमां गता: || 15||
māmupētya punarjanma duḥkhālayamaśāśvatam ।
nāpnuvanti mahātmānaḥ saṃsiddhiṃ paramāṃ gatāḥ ॥ 15 ॥
परम सिद्धिको प्राप्त महात्माजन मुझको प्राप्त होकर दुःखोंके घर एवं क्षणभंगुर पुनर्जन्मको नहीं प्राप्त होते|
O Arjuna, the great sages (wise men,Yogis) having achieved Supreme perfection in their life, come to Me, and do not take rebirth which is temporary and full of suffering.
आब्रह्मभुवनाल्लोका: पुनरावर्तिनोऽर्जुन |
मामुपेत्य तु कौन्तेय पुनर्जन्म न विद्यते || 16||
ābrahmabhuvanāllōkāḥ punarāvartinōrjuna ।
māmupētya tu kauntēya punarjanma na vidyatē ॥ 16 ॥
हे अर्जुन ! ब्रह्मलोकपर्यन्त सब लोक पुनरावर्ती हैं, परन्तु हे कुन्तीपुत्र ! मुझको प्राप्त होकर पुनर्जन्म नहीं होता; क्योंकि मैं कालातीत हूँ और ये सब ब्रह्मादिके लोक कालके द्वारा सीमित होनेसे अनित्य हैं|
All the worlds in the universe, including this one, O Arjuna, are subject to appear and disappear, go and return again, to be created and recreated, but, Arjuna, when one has attained Me, he is never born again into this world of suffering and temporary pleasure.
